But. I was still depressed, lashing out and frustrated with my self-sabotaging behaviors. I felt like a hampster on the same wheel, spinning around and around without getting anywhere new.

Healing can be fun
In the beginning, we need validation and awareness to weed through the gaslighting and conditioning. (Thank you therapy!) But then what we really need more than anything is to reclaim our lost childhoods. This is where playing and inner child healing converge to create beautiful new ways to enjoy life again.
Healing is more about teaching your body how to get out of survival mode so you can move on and thrive
Because most of us learned how to be a "good girl" as little kids, our patterns lie in subconscious programming. Meaning we don't realize when we're doing it. The programming itself is a stress response our bodies learned as kids to "stay under the radar" and be safe. So what is needed to heal is to learn how to feel safe doing things like disappointing others or voicing your truth.
